Leave a Legacy for Life with a Gift in Your Will
Every gift that the Prince of Wales Hospital Foundation is fortunate to receive is different, but they all have one thing in common. They are made by people like you who know that the health of future generations, relies on the generosity and foresight of the current generation.
Your legacy may be for the purchase of vital life-saving equipment, or refurbishment of an area in the Hospital. It may be to fund treatment of a specific disease, or support a department that is important to you and your family.
Once you have taken care of your family and loved ones, take care of the health of future generations. Leave a Legacy for Life with a gift in your Will to the Prince of Wales Hospital Foundation.
Leaving a gift in your will is easy, and you have some different options on how to include a gift in your will. Our discreet and considerate staff will work with you to ensure your gift does exactly what you want it to. We also have a special group called the Nightingale Society – of supporters who have told us they are giving us a gift.

We have a special group of friends who have chosen to make a gift to the Prince of Wales Hospital Foundation called the Nightingale Society.
The name for this society is from Florence Nightingale: “The Lady with the Lamp” and founder of modern nursing. The Prince of Wales Hospital has a long and proud association with Florence Nightingale with some of our early buildings built to plans approved by Florence back in 1870.
Members of the Nightingale Society enjoy:
- Exclusive invitations at special lunches, talks with Hospital specialists, tours and special events
- Regular updates on our work and progress
- Direct access to our Bequests Officer for information and support.
One of the greatest benefits of the Nightingale Society is that we are able to thank people in their lifetime for their generosity and support.
For details about being a Nightingale Society member contact our office on (02) 9382 4291 or email email@example.com.
Rose is a much loved friend of the Foundation. She is also a passionate supporter of the Hospital and has a vision for the future that she has planned for.
When Rose’s husband Des became ill with prostate cancer they came to POWH for their treatment.
“The care was outstanding,” said Rose. “but there came a time when my wonderful Des was no longer with me.” Before that time Des and Rose agreed to leave a legacy to the Foundation.
“Our gift became even more important as after losing Des – my cancer which had been in remission returned”, said Rose. Rose is excited to see the progress of the Nelune Comprehensive Cancer Centre and this year she made the generous gift of a bladder scanner and also a television for the waiting room.
“I know the decisions Des and I made will help people and that is my greatest wish, because where there is hope and goodwill, there is a future.”
“Supporting the Prince of Wales Hospital
Foundation has been one of the most rewarding
experiences of my life”
