Keith Donnelly

I was born and raised in Ireland and moved to Australia in 2016 with my wife and 3 children and now busy making Sydney our permanent home.

I received my degree in Mental Health Nursing in 2014 and have worked in acute mental health facilities both in Ireland here and in Prince of Wales but now work as a Community Mental Health Nurse.

My hobbies are soccer, soccer and soccer as well as cycling, running and training with our children!

I must admit I love my job and feel very privileged to be part of many clients lives supporting them and their families through very difficult and stressful times.

My specialities certainly lie in innovation and planning projects. I enjoy finding gaps in our service and making a difference in our clients recovery.

Most recently I created Keith’s Closet where we transformed a seclusion room to a beautiful contemporary walk in wardrobe for our clients to access free donated pre-loved clothing. Our clients have enjoyed the benefits and have showed significant improvement in their self-esteem, confidence and general well-being. I will continue to build this initiative and am hopeful it can be expanded across NSW and beyond. Every mental health unit should have one as it gives our clients a sense of “Look good, Feel good”.

I’m inspired by the work of Prince of Wales Hospital Foundation and wanted to support them by raising money. Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the ‘Give Now’ button on my fundraising page. The more people that know about Prince of Wales Hospital Foundation, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot! My mission is to make a difference and i can only do that with your help.
