Rani is a partner at Ashurst lawyers specialising in complex commercial litigation and investigations. She has extensive experience in advising companies and their boards, across a range of industry sectors (including media , entertainment, financial services and healthcare) on high stakes disputes and regulatory investigations. Rani is skilled in achieving effective commercial resolutions in contentious matters. Prior to joining DLA Piper, Rani was a partner with Gilbert + Tobin Lawyers, in its litigation practice, for a number of years. Before her time at Gilbert + Tobin, Rani was General Counsel and Company Secretary of Australian Payments Clearing Association Limited, where her experience included advising on a number of payment systems and clearing and settlement issues and projects, and where she was centrally involved in advising the Board and multiple management committees. She also practised in the banking and finance and litigation groups at Freehills, and in the litigation department of Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP in New York.

Rani is the Chair of the Foundation’s Governance Committee, a member of the Nominations committee and was previously Chair of Dreams2Live4 Transition Committee.
