At the Prince of Wales Hospital Foundation, we’re proud to support groundbreaking new research helping young Australians thrive after cancer.
With our $242,000 grant, researchers at The Prince of Wales Hospital Sydney and UNSW Sydney are launching a two-year study to better understand the psychological and cognitive needs of young cancer survivors aged 15–25.
Cancer survivorship isn’t just about finishing treatment — it’s about building a full, healthy life afterwards. This research, led by A/Prof Ursula Sansom-Daly and Dr. Joanna Fardell, will develop new, data-driven support models to ensure young survivors get the right help at the right time.
We were proud to hear survivor and advocate Adry Awan share his story highlighting why this work matters so much.
This study has the potential not only to transform care for young Australians, but to create global change.
A huge thank you to Network 10 News First for helping shine a light on this important work!
